How to choose wedding dress according to dress styles

Apple Shaped Body Shape

If you have a large frame where your bottom and hips are full as well as your torso and you have little waist definition then you qualify as having an apple shape.

Suggested Necklines: Deep V-neck, Strapless and Sweetheart will accentuate your bust and curves.
Suggested Skirts: Empire , Ball Gown will give you a slimmer looking waistline.

Hourglass Body Shape

When you have an hourglass shape, your shoulders and hips are about the same width and you have a well-defined waist. The best way to accentuate your natural beauty with an hourglass body type is to make sure the gown hugs your smaller body parts.

Suggested Necklines: Scoop, V-neck, One-Shoulder, Strapless or Halter.
Suggested Skirts: Sheath, A-Line, Ball Gown, Dropped Waistline, Mermaid,

Inverted Triangle Body Shape

When you have broad shoulders and your hips are slightly narrower than your shoulders, this is considered to be the inverted triangle body type. Do not cover your shoulders! Covering your shoulders may make them look wider than they actually are. Show them off! This way, the naked eye is drawn inward, making your waist look narrower. Skirts with texture and fullness also balance out your upper half.

Suggested Necklines: One shoulder or Strapless, Halter.

Suggested Skirts: A-line, Mermaid, Ball Gown, Sheath, and Empire.

Pear Shaped Body Shape

When the bottom half of your body, hips, thighs, and bottom, are larger than your upper half, your body type is likely to fit into the pear shaped figure category. It’s important to create more balance. Add some style upstairs; choose wide necklines, puffy sleeves and tops that hug the shoulders. Tops with wide-set straps will also help to visually widen your shoulders and chest area.

Suggested Necklines: V-neck, Big Shoulder, or Halter.
Suggested skirts: A-line, Ball Gown, or Empire.

Rectangle Shaped Body Shape

Your body is well balanced but could use a little something to bring out the curves. Creating the appearance of a curvier waist and bottom will enhance your femininity nicely.

Suggested Neckline: Scoop, V-neck, Strapless or One Shoulder.
Suggested Skirt: A-line, Sheath, Mermaid, or Ball Gown.

Small Busted Body Shape

The small bust figure is one where the bride has an “A” cup size or smaller. You can, however, create the illusion of a fuller bust line when you choose a rouched or embellished bodice. Add shape to your body as well by wearing a fitted bodice and full skirt.

Suggested Neckline: Halter, One shoulder, Sweetheart, Bateau or Jewel.
Suggested Skirts: Empire, A-line, or Ball Gown.

Large Busted Body Shape

If you have a “C” cup or larger bust size, and you would like to de-emphasize your large bust to balance out the rest of your body’s shape you would opt for a more open neckline that will draw the attention upward.

Suggested Neckline: V-neck, Princess Off The Shoulder, or Square.
Suggested Skirts: Ball Gown or A-line.
